Commercial golf simulator installation
Venues, bars, gyms, golf clubs and offices install simulators for paying customers or members. Commercial bays use tougher screens, commercial software licences and kit built for hours of use every day. One published guide puts a fully equipped bay at about £45,000, with £5,000 to £20,000 for building and fit-out and £600 to £2,000 a year for software.

Questions people ask
How much space does a commercial golf simulator bay need?
Similar to a large home bay, with extra room for groups to sit and move safely. Trackman describes 3.0 m high, 4.6 m wide and 5.5 m deep as comfortable for most golfers; venues often allow more width and seating behind.
Is commercial software different from home software?
Yes. Commercial licences cost more and add features such as leagues, tournaments and member management. TruGolf, for example, sells a separate commercial suite of E6 Connect. Kandoo puts commercial software at about £600 to £2,000 a year.
Do I need planning permission for a golf simulator venue?
It depends on the building's current use class and the works. A change of use, external changes or new signage may need consent, and leased premises need the landlord's agreement. Check with your council early.
Can I finance a commercial simulator?
Many suppliers and lenders offer business finance or leasing. We do not arrange finance; ask the installers you are matched with.
How long does a commercial installation take?
It depends on the number of bays and the building work. Ask for a programme in the quote, with dates for fit-out, installation and training.
